Matunda
Matunda is a visual artist and VJ whose work blends rhythm, emotion, and storytelling into powerful live experiences. Rooted in Afro House culture and inspired by nature, identity, and ancestral imagery, her visuals merge organic motion with bold digital abstraction — transforming sound into living narratives.
A key part of her artistry lies in building her own projection installations, designing the very surfaces she performs on. This hands-on approach allows her to craft fully immersive environments where architecture, image, and rhythm become one.
Matunda has brought her distinctive visual language to venues and events such as Paradiso, Melkweg, Plant FWD Festival, Zin in de Zomer Fest, the Grachtenmuseum, Triomf and shows with The Party Squad. Whether performing in an intimate club or on a large festival stage, she creates worlds that make the audience see the music — its pulse, its heritage, its future.
